Facebook Job Posts Fill LinkedIn Hole

FacebookJobs

LinkedIn has left a void for workers seeking entry level positions. Facebook has capitalized on that void and has sought to fill it. As of now, Facebook will provide job posting for more than 40 different countries around the world. The goal is to secure a more meaningful foothold in the lives of its users while developing a seriously viable business.

Businesses, that have a Facebook Page, will be able to list Facebook job posts straight from the Jobs tab. This ad can just as easily be promoted on their own news feed as well as Facebook's Marketplace. Those seeking a job can fill out an application inside Facebook. There is the option to populate the application from the job seekers own profile information. Any communication or scheduling of interviews can be conducted through the Messenger app.

3 Sure-fire Ways To Get More Blog Traffic

BlogTraffic

Everyone wants to drive blog traffic but it's not always obvious how to achieve that end. With billions of websites out there, how to you make people go to yours? Here are a few simple tips:

Mention People in Your Posts

No man is an island and no blogger can get traffic completely on their own (unless you want to pay a fortune in PPC prices). Therefore you need to get other people to help you share your content. One way is to write blog posts that contain contributions from other people.

Reach out to thought leaders in your vertical and ask them to help you write a post. This can be something as simple as submitting a short paragraph related to their opinion on something. Compile your post then reach back out to these folks and ask them to share the content on their networks and link to it.

Evergreen SEO Is Timeless

EvergreenSEO

Evergreen SEO methods have stood strong throughout time. This is amazing feat for such a fickle method that is ruled by ever changing algorithms. Methods that once were sure fire short cuts to achieve high ranking results have fallen to the wayside. The following Evergreen SEO methods and techniques worked when they were first implemented and they keep working.

Exchanging Value

This method is also known as external links. The basic concept is simple. You provide a link to a website on your website. In turn that website will provide an external link to your website. Google has penalized this method, however, it is still widely used amongst bloggers and other social media platforms. The exchanging value exposes your website to the traffic of the other websites instead of relying on just your own organic traffic. More exposure and more traffic can equate to a higher search result rank.

Keyword Research

Research the keywords that are used by your target audience. When you find several appropriate keywords use relevant and quality content on your site that contains these keywords. Be sure to use them naturally and do not excessively and unnaturally fill your website with keywords as this will hurt your search ranking.

Instagram's New Call-to-Action Bar

InstagramCallToAction

Instagram redesigned its app. As a result, its call-to-action bar looks a little different. Now, the the bar is a way for the company to subtly display more advertisements. Obviously, the change was made so that Instagram could get more ad clicks from its users. This is why the ads were blended to look like regular Instagram content. They don't stand out as much, which means that users might click on them more.

Before the changes, the call-to-action bar was blue, and it was positioned below videos and images. The redesign makes the bar blend in more with images and videos as they constantly change. For example, if there is an environmental ad that shows trees in the forest, the call-to-action bar changes to green or earth tones to match the greenery in the images. Or it might be red or orange, if the image or picture shows a blazing forest fire.

How To Get Facebook Video Views

FacebookVideoViews

Learn how I got hundreds of thousands of Facebook video views in 48 hours

I was thinking about strategies to increase traffic to my new blog site, BrutusReport.com. I'm not new to blogging, marketing, promotions, and E-commerce. At one time, i wrote blogs for an online marketing company. I have produced over 200 articles on different topics, such as wellness, home decorating, lifestyles, tips for city living, and beyond. It was a wonderful experience to research and write about different subjects. A well known Indian writer once said he didn't write about familiar topics, but those he wanted to learn more about (Chitthal).

Taking his advice to heart, I started creating written works to entertain and draw readers in. This leads to what I'm going to say about getting 150,000 views of my Facebook video in 48 hours. I have only five thousand followers on my Facebook page. And I didn't want to spend a dime on the video.

Facebook Rolls Out New Changes For Mother's Day

From long, sentimental posts to black and white photographs from childhood... let's face it, when it comes to mothers, all of Facebook is incredibly "thankful" for all that mothers do each and every day to make our lives so much sweeter.

In addition to all those heartfelt sentiments that were shared last Sunday, to kick off Mother's Day weekend, the social site brought back the purple flower reaction which allowed you to respond to posts with a reaction of "thankfulness"... instead of a simple Like.

How To Balance Your SEO Costs

MarketingMetricsThatMatter

SEO Costs can be broken out into two categories, things you can do now and get closure and things that go on for some period of time longer.

The first category is fairly cut and dry: identify what the problem is, work on fixing it, then move to the next problem. Simple as that. Like a puzzle, you put a piece down and search for the next piece.
The second category is a bit more complex. Here's where a significant chunk of digital marketing takes place. This is the ongoing process that never really ends. There are always more keywords that need to be optimized, there is always additional content that needs to be published, there's always additional socializing that needs to be done, links that need be found and data analysis is a never ending task.

Don't short-circuit your strategy by putting all your eggs into the short-term cost. You need a long-term strategy that will reap rewards for perpetuity. Look at it as an office space which requires ongoing expenses and maintenance.

Think about these costs as some percentage of every dollar you earn, as if you were putting it toward rent. This cost requires a line in the budget. Costs can always be reduced on one category and increased for the other, but a balance needs to be struck and revisited regularly.

Omnifone Employees Move To Apple?

omnifone

Ahead of its time in the unlimited music streaming industry, Omnifone briefly enjoyed some high profile success in the early 2000s, but recently filed for bankruptcy (August 2016).

Now, TechCrunch has revealed that Apple has picked up some of Omnifone's assets, including some 16 members of staff, and probably some technology to go with it.

A quick analysis of the employee's LinkedIn profiles shows that they have changed employers to Apple, and are working in various roles, including some in iTunes and app development.

While Apple has a history of acquiring technology companies for their assets, this is not a standard acquisition following their usual processes. However, Omnifone does possess a number of patents which might be of interest to Apple, which fuelled speculation that they might have bought out the company for 10 million.

Using Twitter For Business

TwitterforBusiness

Recent studies of Twitter user behavior have indicated that business owners who respond to tweets in a timely manner will see improvements in their customer loyalty over time. Many common Twitter conversations revolve around a negative experience with a company when the business owner answers and wants to make amends. The question is whether this is an effective use of the company's time.

According to current research from both Twitter and Applied Marketing Research, responding to complaints is a positive way to build better customer rapport and correct problems. When a customer receives a response to a complaint, they're up to 20 percent more likely to spend more on a product or service from the same business. They're also up to 44 percent more likely to recommend the business to their friends and family.
