It is set to strengthen and unify data protection requirements inside the European Union. In general, it outlines a sequence of rules for companies to ensue when collecting, storing, and processing data from those in the EU. It is plausible to think that GDRP does not relate to American businesses, but there is one significant change from prior data protection requirements.
