Networking At Affiliate Summit West
It may be 2013, but it seems as though nothing much has really changed. Obama is still the President, and in Las Vegas, the hotels and convention centers are still full of those attending various events, seminars and conferences.
One of the most well known of the affiliate marketing conferences is Affiliate Summit, founded by Shawn Collins and Missy Ward in 2003. This year's conference is at Caesar's Palace and around 5,000 people are expected to attend and learn about such subjects as generating leads, tracking performance, SEO techniques, social marketing and effective networking.
The Affiliate Summit will have some well known speakers, including the founder of Baby Einstein, Julie Clark, Tim Ash, the CEO of Site Tuners, and Daniel Ruettinger, a Notre Dame football player. Although all the speakers promise to be informative and entertaining, many attendees naturally want to make a point of hearing Ruettinger.
The Affiliate Summit also offers an excellent opportunity to network, as well as hear some of the best speakers around. Make sure you have plenty of business cards to hand out to clients, friends and anybody else, whether you are in conference or relaxing in the casino.
One of the biggest parties in Vegas at that time is the VIP Football Sunday event, which is being hosted by Lagasse's Stadium at the Palazzo, and is sponsored by several companies including GMB Direct.
Email marketers can sign up at www.mailermeetup.com to attend the Mailer Meetup in the Palms Fantasy Tower, which is being sponsored by Liquid data, Robomail, Affiliate Revenue and others.
Several other parties worth attending: the Tip-Off party in the basketball themed Hardwood Suite at the Palms Fantasy Tower. Sponsors include Kira labs, Infinite Traffic, Web gem Network and others. ShareASale hosts a costume party at the Paris Hotel, while the badger Ball is happening at the Playboy Suite is sponsored by CrushAds, Raspberryketone.com and others.
Also not to be missed is the Affiliate Ball, sponsored by Webair, WP Engine, OfferSearch and others. However, if you only attend one party, it should be the Legends Unite bash, which features Chingy performing.
As you can tell from the party descriptions, this year's event really does promise to be the best and most spectacular Affiliate Summit West yet! Miss it at your own risk.
