WPP, a global communications company, and Shopify, a commerce company, have joined forces to create a new partnership. They want to help big brands grow faster and reach more customers by using Shopify’s platform.
A Partnership for Rapid Scaling
The partnership will let WPP’s commerce experts work with Shopify’s platform to make new products based on shared insights. They will also help brands adapt to the changing needs and preferences of consumers who shop online.
Addressing Changing Consumer Expectations
WPP clients will benefit from Shopify’s platform, which can help them connect with their consumers directly and grow their business globally. Shopify will also work with WPP to make specific solutions for different sectors like consumer goods, health, and fashion.
Unlocking Growth Opportunities
The companies will also train and certify WPP employees to become Shopify specialists. They aim to have 300 certified experts in WPP’s network in the first year of the partnership.
Training and Certification
The partnership is based on WPP’s previous success with Diff, an ecommerce agency that WPP bought in 2022. Diff has been working with Shopify for over 10 years and has made some of the best stores on Shopify’s platform.
WPP and Diff will also support Shopify’s Operation Hope Program, which wants to start and grow one million Black-owned businesses in the US by 2030.
Mark Read, WPP’s CEO, said that this partnership will open up more opportunities for growth for the brands they work with. Harley Finkelstein, Shopify’s President, said that they have been making Shopify perfect for 20 years to help big brands reach their consumers directly and expand their business globally.
This partnership is a big step forward in commerce innovation, and it offers a lot of promise for both companies and their clients.
