Window 10 Apps at the Build 2015 Conference

App developers will be getting something new from Microsoft when the company releases Windows 10 according to news coming out of Build 2015, the Microsoft developers conference. The operating system designed to work on PCs, Phones, and Tablets, will be open to almost all developers including some that worked on Android and iOS when it is released later this year. The Microsoft store currently contains near 585,000 apps which is about half of what Google and Apple offer in their stores. So new apps are greatly needed to keep their products useful and competitive.

Mobile Development Tools Presented By Yahoo!

Flurry Inc. has provided a suite of mobile development tools for Yahoo! that it is encouraging others to use to developed new applications. Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer presented the tools today at Yahoo!s first Mobile Developer Conference in California. Outside developers can include marketing, video, search, along with content in new apps they develop using the suite.

Razer Nabu X Released by Razer at CES

Following other fitness bands, Razer launched the Razer Nabu X at CES this week. The band provides notifications from smartphones, social band to band features, and the tracking of fitness data for the wearer. It is made of a soft rubber, one-size fits all, and is water resistant. It is available at a discounted $19.99 for Razer Insider Forum members at this time. Retail outlets will have the wearable device January 13th at a retail price of $49.99. Razer is known for their gaming devices mostly.

Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference used to be a series of conferences held in various places around the world that showcased the work its global divisions did on behalf of the US-based tech giant. It has since unified its conference into just one large event, held in one area Microsoft serves and operates in, on a yearly basis in the middle of the summer. It was held in Toronto in 2004, and will be again next year. And perhaps that's Microsoft's way of apologizing to the city for fleeing its early-decade SARS outbreak -- or thanking it for uniting many conferences into just one event.
