This is an really interesting develpment. Our software is written in .Net, and yet all our web stuff is PHP.
It's going to be tough getting the PHP and Rails guys to switch. I think that this is instead a great offering to the new guy, perhaps familiar with .Net, and is indeed an entry to ASP.NET
What's stopping us going with this right now? Too much invested in PHP. But for a new project, we'll take a look. Since all our real skills are .Net

I understand that MySQL is used to manage your website database can SQL Server do the same thing, if so why are companies such as Yahoo and Google using MySQL. What is Microsoft SQL Server's and MySQL's main purpose.thanks.

This is a amazing multitasking software WebMatrix includes a complete Web development stack that integrates a Web serve,database, programing model and tool into a single integrated seamless experience. WebMatrix also has the Search Engine Optimization Toolkit built in so that we see own site and see that how search engin see it.

It is so useful software because it keeps all site related information including database data,WebMatrix is used to create and test websites locally, but it can also be used to publish the site to a hosting provider via FTP, SSL or MSDeploy. It also supports incremental file updates.

WebMatrix includes all of the essential tools for building, installing, and running a website in Windows for free and in a package less than 50MB in size.Web Matrix has been around for a while actually (VS2003 time-frame), this is just a new version. I knew a lot of developers that used this before VS became free..
