I thought I had found a decent way to link to landing pages without actually linking to them. I did this so Google wouldn't know I was linking to certain sites and for some reason punish my rankings. Well I found a decent solution using the Redirection plugin for my Wordpress Blogs. I would create 301 redirections to certain directories on my site which would redirect to the landing page. But some new blogs I created, I received a 401 error on the home page when this plugin was activated. So this solution didn't always work. For those cases I altered the .htaccess file in the root directory to accomplish the same redirection.
Then I read about a plugin on Shoemoney.com called the Maxblogpress ninja affiliate dealio. This plugin costs some money but accomplishes the same thing automatically without having to link to your site's directory for the redirection. Great, but I have a free solution already working on a number of my sites.
Today I came across another Wordpress plugin called The Cross-Linker which automatically ads links to your content for certain predefined words within your posts. I works very easily and will import links from your blogroll to link to the blogs you already like. The only downside is the link is a direct link to the external site. I like this solution and may use it and hope for the best with Google. Now if only DotNetNuke would start to have quality free modules for end-users.

Re: Finding a Way to Link to Landing Pages without Linking The cross-linker is a nice plugin, but don't you think if a link is going to an external site you may lose your valuable visitors. I think linking manually to other page would be great, it will take some time but your visitors will stay on your site.

Re: Finding a Way to Link to Landing Pages without Linking With the cross-linker plugin you can add a target to each new link making the links open in a new window or a tab.
